Crazy Horse Memorial
Leashed pets are welcome at Crazy Horse Memorial in the outside common areas, including the viewing veranda and the roofed, concrete floor entry leading to it. Pets are allowed inside any of the buildings, with the exception of the restaurant and snack shop, but must be carried or otherwise contained. We ask that owners take responsibility for cleaning up after their pets. No pets are allowed in the food service areas or on the bus rides to the bottom of the mountain. Service animals are permitted in all areas

Mt.Rushmore National Memorial
Pets (except licensed guide dogs) are not permitted in any part of the memorial, except in the pet exercise areas located at each end of the upper parking level facility. Please pick up after your pet with bags that are provided in these areas. Since pets must stay in your vehicle while you visit the memorial, you should park in the parking garage's shaded areas (Levels 1,2,4,&5).

See the gorgeous landscaping, learn about interesting reptiles, laugh with knowledgable trainers at Reptile Gardens. Dogs on leashes welcome! On the road to Mt. Rushmore.

Rapid City Dog Parks

The following locations in Rapid City are pet friendly. Your dog may be off its leash in these areas but must remain within sight. Owners must have leashes in their possession for each pet at all times and clean-up and disposal of pet waste is required.

• Braeburn Addition - Located west of the Cleghorn Springs Fish Hatchery at the hockey rink. (3350 Idlehurst Lane)

• Wilderness Park - The undeveloped portion of the park located east of City Springs Road and north of the picnic areas. (514 City Springs Road)

• Knollwood Metering Dam - Located south of Interstate 90, north of Racine Street and west of LaCrosse Street. Parking available at the end of Brentwood Drive.

• Robbinsdale Park - The undeveloped portion of the park located south of the picnic area, east of Harney Little League complex and north of Fairmont Boulevard.

• New York Street Greenway - The portion of the greenway located south of New York Street between East Boulevard and Fifth Street, north of Rapid Creek.

• Vickie Powers Memorial Park - 940 Kathryn Avenue.
